| Rose and Chloe's 2011 puppies Conrad(Rose x Spencer) Dark Green Collar 01/06/2012 Hello Penny and Jeff, This email is long overdue. Conrad and I were so happy to receive your Christmas card. We had a lovely holiday season, and Conrad received lots of new toys and rawhides to chew on. I hope you had a Merry Christmas as well. He was neutered at the end of December. His neuter incision is completely healed now. He was a little restless during the recovery period since he wasn't allowed to play, but he handled it very well. I didn't even need to use an e-collar because he wasn't licking/chewing it. He's still a huge lap dog and loves to take naps with his head and front paws on me. He is now as big as his best friend Davie, the black lab. I will be sending pictures soon. Thank you again for the Christmas card, and all the best in the new year! Diana and Conrad Calypso(Chloe x Rudy)Black Collar Female 01/04/2012 Today went great. The puppies snuggled and napped with me all day. They knew I wasn't feeling well. Calypso is so cute and so adorable . She has really opened up and is quite playful. Thank you for such wonderful dogs! -Francesca
Calypso(Chloe x Rudy)Black Collar Female 01/04/2012 I have a cold or possibly the flu and can't talk very well so I'm updating you with this email. Calypso slept wonderfully through the night on the dogs futon with Sebastian in our bedroom. When we woke up she was a completely different pup. Her tail wags nonstop and she covers us in kisses. She is always placing her head in our hands to be pet and demands all our attention, she doesn't like it if Sebastian is getting love lol. She went outside this morning and pooped and peed with Sebastian and they have been playing tug of war in the living room . It was so funny because Calypso would lay on the dog bed to play and Sebastian would pull on the rope dragging the bed around the room. They have been playing hard and are currently passed out together on the same dog bed. Calypso is an absolute doll! We see her becoming the brave always getting into trouble type girl calling on Sebastian to get her out of her pickles. I will send more pictures and another update later this evening. Thank you, Francesca
Caya(Chloe x Rudy) Pink Collar Female 12/29/11 Hi Penny and Jeff,
We are SO enjoying Cayenne (Caya) and it seems evident that she is also enjoying being with us! She is a delightful addition to our family, and accepted the Christmas craziness and excitement with grace and maturity that is above her mere 6 months of age. She is catching on to the routine here and is learning that her evening place is on her soft, fluffy pillow right next to my recliner. She and Bentley, our Great Dane, have become good friends and are nicely sharing their toys. She is very curious about the horses and goat, and we will make these introductions later when she is more comfortable here. She's met our cat, and likes her and has been sweet with her. I am so glad we picked the pup that actually picked us--I am rapidly becoming "her" person and loving it!! Julie
12/22/2011 Hi Penny & Jeff, Thank you for bringing the puppies by the other day. I can't believe how cute they are and how they'd let us hug them and play with them - oh my gosh - they are beautiful. The pictures don't do them justice in their color. Such a rich red, they are gorgeous. I'm glad we already have three because otherwise we would have one of the boys and one of the girls added to our family! I'm still in awe how they were so comfortable with us and with our three within just minutes. These little guys and girls are going to make someone VERY wonderful additions to their families Sue Lourdes 6 month birthday 12/9/2011 Thank you again for him! Happy birthday wishes to the other puppies! Frankie(Rose x Spencer)Pink Collar Female Here are a couple new photos of Frankie - one with her neighborhood buddy Naddy - a Portuguese Water Dog (one month older than she) and one post-grooming today! She is 19 - 21" tall (doesn't stand still long enough for an accurate measurement!) and 40+ lbs.
We continue our obedience training...pretty good when it is just us and the trainer, but distractions are her downfall...we'll keep at it 'cause I can see how smart she is...she is scheduled to be spayed on Dec. 19th... so that is coming up.
We're into a good evening routine as she is sleeping in a crate beside my bed, now...goes in willingly each night...which wasn't the case when her crate was in the laundry room...guess she was trying to tell me something! Hope you are both well - thanks again for giving these dogs such a great beginning!!! Starla
Lourdes(Rose x Spencer) Lime Green Collar Male Hi Penny and Jeff, Well, we made it through our first week together! I admit to feeling a lot of his separation from home and his transition to his new home. The drive home was very scary for him, as you can see from the expression first photo with his blue baby blanket. I comforted him by letting him practically sit on my lap all the way home to Olympia! Two tea cup Chihuahuas met him at the door and he's been very interested, curious and gentlemanly around them even though the chi's are a bit freaked at his gigantic size. They are becoming a pack. My husband travels and works nights so my 1st taste of Lourdes as a watchdog came the 2nd night home. It was about 11 pm and with his loud deep bark I'm positive I am safe. What a comfort!! Monday He got his 1st exam and final vaccination / rabies shot. He just was the shining star in the waiting room so quiet the others amazed he is only 4 months and so well behaved! Same thing happened at the new puppy class on Saturday! He is excellent on his leash on our walks. He sits and comes loves to hold hands like dad and prances when we jog ! He is getting daily walks and sometimes 2. That's been good for me since my doctors order of exercise half hour everyday. The "out" command seems most effective for potty results but with no doggy door its a work in progress, I realise practice practice practice will get the results. Saturday is Lourdes first grooming appt. Her name is Sunny and has groomed champion poodles she's a master groomer she told me to pick out a style so I'll send some pics. I think he's wonderful just the way he is. Thank you so much for your time and love you gave him. It shows, he is very sweet. Lisa Conrad(Rose x Spencer)Dark Green Collar Male UPDATE 10/9/2011 Hello Penny and Jeff,
Conrad is still doing great. He finished his last round of puppy vaccinations a few weeks ago and will be getting his rabies shot this week. We started him in a puppy class a little bit ago, and he's by far the best puppy there! The class instructor has already pulled me aside to tell me what a wonderful temperament he has and even asked me to consider him as a therapy dog. She says he has great eye attention which is uncommon in puppies. All the other dog parents there love to admire him and comment on how smart he is. He's really making me look good. We were also doing an exercise with the puppies where you touch their paws and run your fingers between their toes, put your fingers in their ears, rub their teeth, and rub their tails. She got down to rub his paws, and he didn't pull away even one bit. She was so impressed and told me that he's the only puppy she's seen who is so okay with that. It didn't faze him at all, he just kept looking at me for instruction. He got a lot of treats for that one. He seems to be entering into his teething phase, so I've bought a him a lot of rawhides and chews which he loves. He's so quick to pick up on tricks, too. I really only have to show him about 2-3 times what I want from him until he knows. He now knows sit, down, come, crawl, roll over, shake, and spin. Everybody is always so impressed when I tell them he's only 17 weeks now. He's growing well and is about 30 pounds and ~20" at the shoulder. He is still a huge goofball and loves to cuddle with me. If I sit on the couch, he has to sit next to me with his head on my leg, and if I sit on the floor, he's quick to crawl on my lap and be a mama's boy. His best friend is a black lab mix in the neighborhood named Davey, and they love to play together. I hope all the other puppies are doing well. I love seeing the updated pictures on the site. I've attached updated pictures of him so you can see how he's doing. I'll send another update in a little while.
Diana Woody(Rose x Spencer) Black Collar New Update 9/19/2011 Hi Penny & Jeff Woody is doing great and continues to be a joy to us! We took him on a weekend trip to Portland this past weekend and he was an excellent traveling companion. We stayed at a hotel and he was a perfect guest. He just finished his last round of immunizations. Weighs in at 30 lbs. He is confident, strong, and has a regal stance. Very social with people and other dogs. Lots of fun. His favorite activity is chasing and fetching a tennis ball. Also loves the water and is a good swimmer. Next week we start Puppy Kindergarten 101 classes. We couldn’t be happier --- Woody is a terrific dog! Regards, Sydney & Peter Bella Chloe x Rudy(Lime Green Collar Female) 9/18/2011 Hi Jeff and Penny! We just wanted you to know that Bella (lime green female) is doing great! We are absolutely suprised at how quickly she took to our family and home. She was introduced to our 3 year old lab Sadie and our 1 year old cat Milo yesterday when she arrived. I am happy to tell you that Sadie and Bella are good friends now after only 1 day. Milo is still warming up to Bella but he has now ventured out from under our bed and is eager to meet her. I'm letting him go at his own pace. Bella seems very interested in Milo and wants to play with him.
Her first night with us went well. She was crated around 10pm for bedtime. She whined a little at first bu t then quickly curled up and went to sleep. We got up with her around 4:50am to let her out. She spent the rest of the morning with Sadie. Bella is a wonderful fit for our family. My boys absolutely love her and instead of sitting on the furniture, they choose to now sit on the floor with Bella and play with her while watching TV. I am so excited to have her as a new member of our family!
We will keep you posted on her progress. Thank you so much.
Crissa and Mike
Woody( Rose x Spencer)Black Collar Male 8/21/11 NEW UPDATE Hi Penny & Jeff
We are absolutely delighted with Woody! He is all that we were looking for and more. A great little guy with a lot of heart. He is confident without being the least bit aggressive or overly stubborn. Affectionate and smart --- a real fast learner. We are amazed at how easily he has adjusted and become part of our “pack”. One of our little grandsons is physically and mentally handicapped. Woody seems to somehow sense something is unique about him and is especially gentle and sweet in his presence. We also appreciate that Woody loves to be run and tumble outdoors. He already will chase and fetch a tennis ball. He loves the water and jumped right into the pool last weekend and started paddling around with kids, when we visited friends in Cle Elum last weekend.
As much as possible, we try to keep him close with us at all times, both in the house and when we go somewhere. As much as possible, we take him everywhere we go. Woody has even started going along with Peter on a few customer visits and perks up when Peter says “Okay, Woody let’s go to work ---“. He sleeps in his crate next to our bed and also travels in the crate when we drive somewhere. He is almost completely potty-trained at this point.
Woody already weighs 22 lbs! You weren’t kidding when you said he would likely add at least a couple pounds per week! Looks like he is going to be a big boy. He just had his second round of immunizations and did just fine. As I mentioned in my earlier email, our vet was really impressed with Woody as well as the breeding and health information, etc. you provided with him. He said that you exemplify all the things that make for an excellent breeder --- he even asked if he could have one of the business cards you included in Woody’s folder.
We are very grateful to have Woody in our life, and will be sure to send additional updates and photos.
Best regards, Sydney & Peter
Conrad(Rose x Spencer)Dark Green Male 8/20/11 NEW UPDATE Hello Penny & Jeff, How are you? I thought I'd send you some pictures I took today. Conrad and I went to a nearby volleyball court and I let him check out the sand. He loves to run around in it and dig holes. As you can see from the pictures, he got a haircut! The North Carolina heat was really getting to him, so I had a friend shave him down. He's doing better. :) All the baths and cuts you gave him as a puppy really helped because my friend said he was a charm and did really well. We also had a private training session last Wednesday. I keep trying to find ways to entertain him because he's so smart and I don't want him to get bored! The trainer really helped clarify some of his behavior. She told me that Conrad is very visual which is why sometimes he'll just stand still scoping everything out before he gets involved. She said that when he sees other puppies and stands behind me for a little bit, it's because he's pegging that puppy's personality and then knows exactly how to approach. She also brought out a cat toy (the kind with feathers at the end of a pole) and he loved it! I bought one for myself and he would probably chase it all day if he could. It's hard to believe he's only just turned 10 weeks old! He seems so mature and is so incredibly smart. The trainer kept saying how intelligent he is and calling him "smart as a whip." We'll be going in on Monday for his second set of puppy boosters. I think that's it for all the updates I have. :) I will send you some more updates and pictures soon.
Diana Caya(Chloe x Rudy)Dark Green Female UPDATE 8/18/11 Hope you enjoy, she is the sweetest little girl! She is doing great at night and really starting to explore the house and kids! She is so smart and so mellow, alternately goofy and all puppy! She is doing well on leash and learning how to get treats. Hope you all are doing well, Julie and Peggy & Caya ;) Caya(Chloe x Rudy)Dark Green Female 8/13/11 Penny, This is Julie, Peggy's daughter; we made it home from our long drive and Caya rode the entire way up on Moms shoulders- slept just about the entire way- it was adorable!! She is so mellow and sweet; the girls love her and she is enjoying her chew bully stick very much. She decided the metal food and water bowls were finally *safe* and is eating and drinking and has also met the cats- that went really well.
She is already a very happy and spoiled baby puppy! She loves the neighbors Hosta's and thinks my Astilabe is a great place to pee (stinker)!
Enjoy the pictures, we love having her and will send you more~ Caya is beautiful.
Warm regards,
Peggy and Julie
Frankie(Rose x Spencer)Pink Collar Female 8/8/2011 Dear Penny and Jeff,
I had my initial visit at my vet today and Frankie has gained a pound and a half (11lbs. 4 oz.). Everyone oooed and awed about how cute she is and how calm and outgoing - all these characteristics attributed to the love and care you both give the pups. I don't substitute for all her litter mates in the playing/napping department, but we are getting into our own rhythm here in Yakima!
She is a quick learner and gets more coordinated each day...I really think she is almost housebroken on the peeing part - again, all because of the time and energy you spend acclimating the pups to their forever homes. I can't thank you enough for sharing your expertise and encouragement with me as I try to live up to the high standards you have set as dog lovers!!!
Frankie will change my life!!! Starla
Conrad(Rose x Spencer)Dark Green Collar Male 8/6/2011 Hello Penny,
I thought you might like an update on how Conrad is doing. He is adjusting so well. He is such a happy puppy and so well socialized. He loves everybody, especially kids, and will say hello to anybody he comes across. The only thing he is afraid of right now is the stairs, but we're taking that slowly. He's such a smart boy too. I've started clicker training little by little and he already knows "sit" and "down." He loves to chew on rawhides. He is so quiet! I've only heard him sort of bark when I put him in his crate at night. He whines for a little bit but then settles down quite nicely until he lets me know when he needs to use the bathroom. Are all the puppies this quiet? He loves to be around people but is also sometimes content to quietly chew on his toys by himself. He was even happy at the airport. I let him out in a grassy area and he ran around and was playing and being goofy. I've attached some pictures. One is of him playing outside and another is of him on his doggie bed. He will be going to the vet soon for a wellness exam and then of course again later for his second round of shots. I will send you another update soon.
Diana Woody(Rose x Spencer)Black Collar Male 8/5/2011 Hi Penny & Jeff, Just a quick note to let you know Woody is doing great! He was a little sad at first, but has been adapting very quickly to his new “pack” and surroundings. You did a wonderful job of socializing him and working with him on potty training, etc. It really shows, and we are very grateful. Also, thank you for your thoughtfulness in making the precious photo book for us! We treasure it greatly. Our vet (Mike Treuting) came over today and was so impressed with Woody, as well as the quality of your care and breeding program, that he asked if he could have one of the business cards you included in the packet. We’ll send some photos soon --- Thanks again, Sydney & Peter Rose and Chloe's 2010 Puppies Bristol(Chloe x Spencer)Teal Collar Female 10/17/2011 NEW UPDATE Penny, I just thought I'd send you this picture of Bristol from last week. She is still doing great and brings us such joy and fun. She is happy running, camping, swimming, and boating with the family or just crawling all over us and the couches! She is so fun and we are so blessed to have her. I told you we moved to Alabama, right?
Thanks again for a fantastic dog! Becky Sebastian(Rose x Spencer) Teal Collar Male 5/31/2011 NEW UPDATE Hello all!
This e-mail has been long overdue and I do apologize for that. Things have been so busy lately, especially now that I am deployed for the next few months and am writing this e-mail from the middle of the Pacific near the Philippines of all things. Now is the time and reason for why we adopted, not bought, he is so much more than that, Sebastian. As a cuddle buddy and partner, Sebastian serves as a fine substitute for me I think, and I’m sure Francesca would say the same.
He is so big now it’s nuts! He is closing in on 90 lbs and is as energetic as ever, although from what Francesca tells me, gets pretty tired out on 2 mile walks/jogs. He still tries after those squirrels though, or rabbits, cats, other dogs, you name it he’ll chase after it. One thing I know hasn’t been mentioned yet though, not too long ago one of our friends was out walking him for us as she was spending the day at our apartment while Francesca and I were at work. Well, on this walk a man approached them and asked to pet Sebastian. Instead of petting him the man reached down, grabbed Sebastian’s collar and threw him to the side and away from our friend. He then demanded her money, phone and keys. While our friend wasn’t sure how to respond, Sebastian started to emit a very low growl and lunged at the guy grabbing hold of his arm and pinning him to the ground. Our friend had to wrestle Sebastian off of the guy who got up and immediately took off running. Mind you this trail they were on is in broad daylight and in full view of three housing complexes and the police station is two blocks away down the same street! This guy was an idiot. Anyway, our friend took Sebastian to that police station and filed a full report including a description of the man and the wound he received, which with her training as an EMT, she confirmed would at least need stitches. If this guy was as dumb as he sounds, I’m almost certain they found him in some emergency room asking for help. The police were very appreciative and continually told him “good dog” and such. He was the local hero at home and at the day care facility that he stays at every so often. Imagine my surprise when I heard this over the phone. This gentle, quiet, well behaved, docile dog turned into the ultimate guard dog and bad guy terror, I mean wow, I didn’t know he had it in him, but I am glad he did. He has earned my full confidence, and I now completely trust him with the most important person I have in this world.
Anyway, that’s really our biggest news, though that might be an understatement eh? Hope all is well with you, wish you the best of luck and hope to talk to you again very soon. Take care of yourselves, we brag about you and the quality you provided us, thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Kyle and Francesca
Sassy(Chloe X Spencer)Dark Green Collar Female 2/4/11 UPDATE Hi Jeff and Penny, I hope this finds you doing well, surviving the winter and looking forward to spring! I am so thankful that we don't have the weather that they are fighting back east... can you imagine having to deliver the mail in that... eww! Well, Sassy is feeling quite at home now. She has her room, where all her toys are and if we even TRY to bring them to another room, she picks them all up and takes them back to her room (which is the front living room that isn't used much) She and Peta are like 2 peas in a pod. Peta loves to play with her UNTIL she gets scratched because Sassy is playing to hard or if Sassy runs and gets one of Peta's toys. All bets are off then, Sassy is then a "bad girl" according to Peta! Sassy has no problem with Scott either. Loves to be petted and wrestled with. MIKE on the other hand is still a taboo subject for her. He tried shaving off his beard, that didn't help. He has tried holding her on his lap for a while, she will stay but at the first chance she gets, she is off and looking like she has just been tortured. Sassy WILL however, allow Mike to pet her and put the leash on to go out ONLY if she is under the pool table and he gets down on his hands and knees. He has tried giving her treats, playing with her favorite toy... she just doesn't like him. SO, Mike says we need another poodle. And this one is going to like him. So, can you put us on your reserve list for the next batch? I told him that he needs to go pick out the next one so that it picks him... and maybe that will do the trick? Sassy goes in Monday to be spayed. Paige and family Jackson(Chloe X Spencer)Red Collar Male 1/20/2011 UPDATE Just wanted to let you know how great Jackson is doing. He has turned out to be a very special dog and of course we all love him. I remember how friendly he was when we met him and I smile. That is so Jackson. He's this happy, friendly, well adjusted puppy. He has quite the personality, I swear he's always smiling. He loves to play and is already good at catching and retrieving. He had a six month check up in December and is quite healthy. He's done many funny and surprising things. One evening we were watching TV and we turned around and he was standing on the kitchen table, wagging his tail, so proud of what he had done (when he was about 5 mo.). He's incredibly smart too. The house is going slow, it seems. The shell is up with a roof and windows, but no doors yet. We have a long way to go. Thank you so much for the happiness Jackson brings to this family. Hope this finds you in good health and not too cold in Tri-Cities. Lindsay Sebastian(Rose X Spencer)Teal Collar Male 01/03/2011 UPDATE Hello all, Finally got the opportunity to write you and send a couple of pictures. Sebastian is huge now! He's clocking in at about 70 lbs and the vet thinks he might still have a little left in him yet. One of the pictures will show the size difference at least a little bit. We had a terrific holiday season and Sebastian even got to enjoy some snow, and a couple of new toys of course. Hope all is well with you and hope to talk to you again soon. Sincerely, Kyle and Francesca Lula(Chloe X Spencer)Lime Green Female 12/22/2010 UPDATE Happy Holidays! Lula is growing up so beautifully. She’s such a happy bundle of joy and energy, and we love her so much. Thank you again for entrusting us with her, and thank you for the beautiful Christmas card you sent! We all just returned from Denver for some job training for Curtis, and I didn’t get the cards out in time this year. What a whirlwind but wonderful year this has been. Hugs from all of us (and a big kiss from Lula). Always, Becky Little Spencer(Rose x Spencer)Blue Collar & Molly May(Chloe x Spencer)Purple Collar 11/30/2010 Getting ready to go to bed and had to send you a note about the pups. All three are asleep right now. Molly on her back in the middle of the new Costco dog bed, Spencer on his back with his head all turned a strange direction - snoring - he takes after me... The snoring part, not the strange head direction! Alex was on his back, but has turned onto his side in the recliner. His legs are all mixed together, looks like he'd trip if he tried to get up. I hear snoring, teeth clattering, see feet running....puppy dreams. These pups are the greatest. I can't believe how sweet they are! We call Molly, Molly Kitty Cat when she arches her back when she's being pet. Spencer is so laid back and mellow. We are a little worried about his limping, but hopefully it is just growing pains or from a tumble in the yard or something. I can hear Alex grinding his teeth - maybe he's going to need a mouth guard? Orthodontia for poodles? Remember how over the top Alex and Carson were (are)? Not so with these two little darlings. You taught them well and most of the time they remember quickly. But mostly they are just sooo sweet!! Spence reminds me a little of Ojos. He is kind and thoughtful. Molly is still having trouble warming up to Jim. She likes him when she is sleeping on the bed and doesn't realize that it is him that is petting her. He's working on her with treats and keeps telling her that he loves little girl doggies and I'm sure she will realize he's a big softy soon. I wonder if it is his size or his glasses? I can't wait to weigh them again. Maybe I'll take them in this Friday when I have the day off. I think it really did a lot of good with me being home all last week. They seem much more comfortable around us. Will talk to you soon. Thought about you on Turkey day, but fell asleep after Sherry left for home and didn't wake up until about 9:30 that evening. Hope you had a nice weekend and got the whole time off work. Have a nice day & be careful out there! Sue Sassy(Chloe X Spencer) Dark Green Female 11/28/2010 UPDATE Jeff and Penny, Well, 4 weeks later, Sassy is doing well. She has become my dog, and Mike is a bit hurt. He said, that's it, we need to get another one so I have a dog!! Sassy won't let Mike do anything with her. When it is time to take her out, she will not let him put the leash on her, but if I walk up and take the leash from him turn around and tell her to sit, she is right there. She will jump up on my lap, want snuggles and play, but she wont have anything to do with Mike. He is working on giving her treats so she realizes he isn't a bad guy, but it is a slow process. Peta still chases her all day thru the house and Sassy just keeps on going. I think that if she were to get tired of it or irritated with Peta, she would make that known. But for now, she just keeps on running! At night, we often find Sassy right under Peta's bed, so she must think that little being is ok after all! Sassy very rarely barks. It gets our attention when she does because she is so quiet. She is getting a bath today and I think it is time to give her a hair cut too! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and will have a very special Christmas. I will send some pictures of us all as soon as we get them taken. Paige. Dexter(Rose x Spencer)Black Collar Male 11/22/10 Dexter is doing great! He is starting to get used to us and is getting comfortable in the house. He still doesn't really like Xander, but I have hopes that he will at least tolerate him in the near future. He had so much fun this morning playing in the snow!! He was so funny! He is even greeting me at the door when I come home like my girls do. We will have to call you somtime to reschedule our walk, Bryce got called in to work all weekend. I will send some pictures soon! Heather
Sassy(Chloe and Spencer)Dark Green Female 11/01/2010 Penny & Jeff, We named her Sassy( Princess Serenity). Got her registered today. Got her rabies shot today. She has the stairs mastered. She knows "load up" and loved going to Sunnyside with me. She is getting plenty of exercise running from Peta! And she is learning a healthy respect for the cats. Only 2 of them will let her get close, but she hasn't quite figured out which 2 it is yet! I think she is ready for a nap... I know I am! Thanks again for raising her so well and we will love having her as a member of our family! Paige, Mike, Scott and Peta
Bristol(Chloe and Spencer)Teal Collar female 10/15/2010 UPDATE Good Morning Penny and Jeff! I just wanted to let you know that the puppy did great last night. We all talked about names all the way home and we decided on Bristol (for Bristol Bay, Alaska). She rode on my lap all the way home ... just curled up and sat down right away. She threw up once before we got out of town, but was just fine after that. We stopped in Ritzville to let her go potty, but she didn't seem to need to go. We all simply adore Bristol. Overall she has done great. She was a little unsure of all the new smells and the cats when we got home last night, but she is getting braver this morning. She knows that Jason and I are her safe haven. She follows us around everywhere - she is laying at my feet right now. She slept on a dog bed next to our bed all night with no problems ... if she could jump better she would have been IN our bed though! Thank you for the great puppy! She is going to fit in to our family wonderfully. Thanks again, and sorry for the change of plans yesterday. I really appreciate your flexibility ... it will be so much better for our family this weekend. I'll be sure to keep you updated on how Bristol is doing. Becky, Jason, and kids Sebastian(Rose and Spencer)Teal Collar Male 10/09/2010 UPDATE Hey all, Been a little while since our last update and seeing we found some down time, we thought we would take the chance to get you up to speed. Francesca and I cannot believe it has only been four weeks since we got Sebastian, he has already grown so accustomed to us it's like he has been a member of the family for years. He is extremely in tune with our needs and can read our faces like a book. With a tail wag here or a lick there he brightens our days completely no matter how hard the work day has been. Just knowing he is there and waitng for us to come home brings a smile to our faces everytime. That is actually the most hyper we have seen him, when we first get home he is a mexican jumping bean, but he quickly calms down and begs for attention. He is adorable and he knows it. He has a terific personality and everyone we introduce him to loves him on sight. We have made several trips to the Edmonds off leash dog park at the marina where he has quickly grown comfortable with his surroundings and interacts wonderfully with the other dogs. He loves to play fetch with his stuffed goose or in keeping with the season, his mummy dog. Francesca and I love taking him out to play because he has already developed and put into practice the concept of divide and conquer against the evil squirrels. He will stand still as a statue and watch as the less than intelligent rodents approach. Once in range he lunges cutting them off from the nearest escape tree. We've noticed he doesn't go completely 100% in catching them because he doesn't know what to do with them if he caught them, so he simply enjoys the chase. Another thing we have found is that he loves pig ears or pig hooves, and because of these he has already lost three baby canine teeth with two adult ones growing in. He is quickly becoming a lovable "teen." Hope you enjoy the pictures attached to this message. One more thing, Francesca and I have been discussing the possibility of getting him a playmate. Obviously the best match up would be one of his litter mates. Now, Sebastian is certainly a wonderful dog and a perfect match for us, we couldn't be happier, but the idea has crossed our minds. With that in mind we have noticed that the black and blue collared males from Rose are still available. We'll keep throwing the idea around, but we thought we would let you know. Hope all is well and we look forward to talking with you again soon. Sincerely, Kyle and Francesca Sebastian(Rose and Spencer)Teal Collar Male 09/15/2010 Evening all,
Hopefully the e-mail address makes it easy to identify who this is from. First thing, Francesca and I could not be happier with Sebastian (Emmett.) Aside from a few very minor set-backs, and I do mean minor, like car sickness which you have to expect for the first long, long car ride, and having never seen stairs he certainly beat that pretty quickly too. He is taking to the new location very well and it is very easy to tell that he is much more comfortable around us. The hardest part has been leaving him to go to work. We try to spend as much time with him as possible and we take him on all of our errands. He sleeps through the night very easily and is always extremely happy to see us when we get home. In fact, that is the most hyper we ever see him. Once we are home and he recognizes that we aren’t leaving for a while he quickly passes out at our feet. Oh, and he is never far from his blanket. Got to tell you, it is the cutest thing, he always makes sure he has it with him in whatever room he decides to crash in. We bought him a few new toys including a stuffed goose much like the duck you had for him which he enjoys, but the blanket will always be special to him. He is a terrific young pup with a wonderful upbringing thanks to you. Francesca and I have discussed on numerous occasions how well you have done on your first time through a breeder’s life, we will gladly recommend you to anyone and everyone that asks or even show the slightest interest. As I told you, I was not sold on the whole poodle idea for some time when Francesca mentioned it. Didn’t sound like a man’s dog if that makes any sense. But after reading about you and seeing the pictures I agreed to go along with it, and am I glad I did. We brag about how wonderful you have both been to us whenever we show him off to family and friends. The steps you took to ensure that both Francesca and I and the puppy got off to a strong start have us forever grateful to you. We plan to start venturing out on more exciting weekends very shortly with plenty of pictures to send back. Thank you again for everything and please keep in touch.
Take care and God bless, Kyle and Francesca Jackson(Chloe andSpencer's)Red collar male He is doing fantastic and we love him. The boys named him Jackson (I call him Jackie) He is so cute and funny. He loves to play and is very affectionate. He is doing excellent on house training and already goes to the door. He gets brushed everyday (sometimes several times, as everybody likes to brush him.) He loves to follow me around. He's got my shower routine down and when I come out he acts like He's just found me, and wiggles. He's already had a bath, and did really well. I want to thank you, because I can tell how much time you spent in raising him. He's happy, healthy and well-adjusted. Tyler's taken loads of pictures, I'll send you some soon. Thank you again, I couldn't be more pleased with the puppy, he has made a great addition to our family. Lindsay
Lula(Chloe and Spencer)Lime Green Female Here's a couple of pictures of Lula. There's one of her alone, and then one of her and Valiant in their playpen together. She's grown a few inches just since we brought her home! I thought you might like to see how she's been doing. As you can see, the picture of her by herself is just after I groomed her. She has such a pretty face! - Becky Penny & Jeff, Thank you so much for letting us come over and play with the puppies yesterday! They are the friendliest pups. You can tell that they have been loved so much by the way they interact with people, and strangers at that! You have done a great job of socializing them. And the way that they play together - oh my gosh, Becca and I just couldn't get enough of them! We could just sit there and watch them all day! They are so beautiful, well adjusted, soft & cuddly and their puppy breath - made my whole evening just thinking about them. Can't wait until our next visit! Sue & Becca "Penny they are sooo beautiful. You and Jeff must be so proud. I can see the mommy but what color is the daddy? Whoever takes these babies will have to spoil them as badly as you have! Would love to see all your babies sometime. All ours are busy enjoying the pool. We have some that don't want to swim but want to ride in a little floating duck that I found for them...life jackets are of course optional for all but the itty bittys. Take care and wags! Kathy" Maggie May(Chloe and Spencer)Pink collar Female
Hi Jeff and Penny, Maggie is doing great and I think she loves all the energy in our house. Our camera is on the fritz so we only have pics on my iPhone which isn't the best camera. As soon as we figure out what the deal is with our camera I will take tons of pictures and send you a few. Eileen
